Renu Devi W/oAjit Kr. Mahto comes from a village and PanchayatSosoKhurd, Post office SosoKhurd, Block Gola, District Ramgarh and state Jharkhand. Village is 5 km away from Gola Block toward the west direction. She is 30 years old, she completed Intermediate. Her husband is a driver in profession. She has got two children one daughter who is 11 years old and a Son who is 9 years old. She has her father and Mother-in-laws at home. Their main source of income and livelihood is agriculture and labour.
After her marriage she became one of the SHG members in the village. In that group she was appointed as treasure. She was maintaining books of accounts of the group. In the year 2011-12 she came across with Agragati as SHG formation was going on in an around the area. Along with it training program was too organized in the village itself by Agragati. She participated training and tried to enhance her knowledge and share the same with other women groups in the area. In the year 2017 Village Organization was formed. In that Village Organization she was elected as Master Book Keeper. She was being paid Rs.500.00 per month for the assignment. There were 20 SHGs and she was taking care of each of the SHGs Books of Account. To maintain it she was paid Rs. 20.00 per SHG. It was great support for her. She did not depend on any one for financial matter. She was self-dependent as far as financial matter was concerned. In the year 2020-21 she was nominated as one of the Board of Directors for FPO in her village that was supported by NABARD. Now she takes part in the BoD Meeting where she too contributes in preparing business plan of FPO. She feels confident and proud to be one of the daughter-in-laws in this village. She is managing her domestic responsibilities too like taking care of her father and mother-in-laws, children, agriculture and role of SHG member and BoD. It is possible only because of the support of the family members.
She is exploring and looking for a job on regular basis where she could be confident and feel secured flow of income to manage her family without any interruption to lead a happy life and contribute better way to build her children’ future.
