Mr.NageswarMahto S/o DharnathMahto who is 38 year old, well-educated till B.A, B.Ed, comes from a small village SosoKhurd, block Gola, 5 km away from Block head quarter west of Ramgarh district, State Jharkhand. He is youngest son of his parents. He has two elder brothers. He has two sons. He family is depended on agriculture product for their livelihood. Along with that he had a small hotel on road side.
Agragati an organization had been working in the area but in the year 2013-14 he came in contact with Agragati team.. The moment was that organization was organising training program on SRI in the village itself. After the training in the same year he tried SRI paddy cultivation in 1,5acrs. He followed as it was taught during training program. It was astonishing for him and for many, seechanges in production. It was turning point in his life. Here after he has been doing the same. With this drastic change in yield, he got additional income by selling extra production in the market. With is income he got an idea to expand small hotel to bigger hotel with many more menus.
In the year 2015-16, he expanded his existing hotel. As it was expanded many customers began to come and demand too raised accordingly season wise. Meanwhile Agragati in collaboration with SELCO Foundation came up with solar energy to install for various usages. In the year 2022, March he installed Big Deep Freezer run by solar energy that was supported in collaboration with Agragati and SELCO Foundation. It was great support to him. He managed to keep those articles that were in demand by the customers and saved vegetable that were for short durables. Cost was reduced, waste was minimized and it supported in increasing income. Before this he was much depended on the electricity but now he was tension free from power failure.
He is quite confident to plan out more based on this. Future plan is that he wants to increase more solar points to create more demand and fulfil demand of the customers. Increase in income he could think of giving better education facility to his children for their bright future.
He is so grateful to Agragati for its support. It was made possible only because of the Agragati else it was not his cup of tea. He remains always grateful to the organization.
